about

We all have our own nightmares. Some we can control, but some are inevitable. This song is about conquering those fears in whichever shape they come.

In a more literal sense, when I was growing up, I used to have nightmares and promptly ran to my parents' bedroom for comfort almost every night. It was ongoing until I was closer to my teen years. I was always afraid of falling asleep. What was nice about that, is it made me appreciate the days more.

lyrics

I'm afraid of getting lost
Losing faith
Giving up

Running from nightmares
I can't stop
For now, I'm safe
For now, I'm strong

All the pain, let it go
Go, go, go
All the pain, let it go

Why is my face turning grey?
Why'd the music fade away?
Where did all the colours go
Inside my heart, inside my soul?

Maybe I should take a break
A break from doing anything
It's the least that I can do
For myself, for my youth

No one's to blame
I'm in charge
Who's taking aim?
I'm not armed

All this pain, let it go
Go, go, go
All this pain, let it go
Go, go

All this pain, let it go
Go, go, go
All the pain, let it go
